Looking forward to hear my orchestral piece ICE be performed by the fantastic Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra led by their marvellous chief conductor Nicholas Collon. aired on the radio channel BBC3 and available for 30 days afterwards on BBC Sounds. The live recording of my new violin concerto Earth Songs, performed by Linda Suolahti and TampereRaw, conducted by Maria Itkonen at the Musica nova Helsinki Festival, will be radio broadcast in Finland at 7PM. It will be available world wide on demand one month forward here. The concert includes include music by my colleagues Tomi Räisänen, Ilkka Hammo and a world premiere by Roope Mäenpää. Pianist Reetamaria Rajala will be performing all my so far published solo works for piano at the Seinäjoki City Orchestra’s Club evening. The concert includes the works Epitaph, Characters, Under Stjärnhimlen, Unda, Piano Delirium and Psychedelic. Find more info here.
My new work for women’s voice choir Vidare, hur långt, hur länge composed to a brand new text by poet Heidi von Wright was commissioned by the Exaudio Choir, who also will give the world premiere conducted by Hanna Kronqvist. Tickets can be found here.

My orchestral piece ICE will get it’s Portuguese Premiere by the Gulbenkian Orchestra conducted by José Eduardo Gomes at the World New Music Days in Portugal. The concert will also include music by my colleagues Hawar Tawfiq, Murielle Lemay and Vasco Mendonça. More information can be found here.
PAST EVENTS
Very honoured to get a own festival organised by Uuden Ajan Ensemble and Tapio von Boehm! On Sunday 9.3 my orchestral works Tundo!, Lucrum, Nixus, ICE and Wasteland and the orchestral version of my song cycle Dagbok will be performed, showcasing a decade of my compositions. Soprano Hedvig Paulig will be the soloist of Dagbok. The concert takes place in the House of Nobility and tickets can be found here.

My orchestral piece ICE will get it’s United Kingdom Premiere by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Emilia Hoving at the BBC Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff, the United Kingdom. The concert also includes the piano concerto by the British composer Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade and the first symphony of Grace Williams, believed to be the first symphony ever written by a Welsh composer. Mezzo soprano Olivia Kyllönen and pianist Kirill Kozlovski will perform the song Framtidens skugga, which is the first song from my song cycle Framtidens skugga composed to poems by Edith Södergran, as part of Olivia Kyllönen’s semifinal round at The Lappeenranta National Singing Competition (Lappeenrannan valtakunnalliset laulukilpailut). Accordionist Sonja Vertainen will perform from my whole solo accordion suite Shapes at her recital in Hannover. She will perform at the hall E50 in “Neues Haus 1” at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Hannover University of Music, Theatre and Media). She will also be performing works by César Franck, Erkki Jokinen, Matthew Shlomowitz and Tom Bañados. More info here.
Guitarist Marisa Minder will play the Swiss Premiere of my piece Under Stjärnhimlen at the concert series Feeling blue & white in Basel. There will also be music by my colleagues Sauli Zinovjev, Lotta Wennäkoski, Leonid Bashmakov, Tobias Krebs and Einojuhani Rautavaara. Find more info here.
