PAST EVENTS
Pianist Reetamaria Rajala will be performing all my so far published solo works for piano at the Aava Festival. The concert will take place at Korpo Gård in the Archipelago of Turku.
Sonja Vertainen will perform four movements from my solo accordion suite Shapes in the concert series Konzerte im Kirchgarten in the Johanneskirche Völksen, Springe, Germany. She will perform the movements I. “The Rhomb”, II. “The Ascending Line”, III. “Circles and Ellipses” and V. “Dots”. More info here.
My duo Celestial Beings will be performed by violinist violinist Otto Antikainen and violist Ulla Knuuttila at the Toivakka Chamber Music Festival (Toivakan kamarimusiikkifestivaali). The concert includes music by Claude Debussy, Lotta Wennäkoski and Jean-Philippe Rameau in addition to yours truly. More can be found info here.
The Lauttasaari Music Festival takes place 13th to 16th of June and I’m honoured to be included in the 7th concert called “Meetings Between Authors and Composers“ where author Minna Lindgren and I will be discussing our work, and the renominated Uusi Helsinki Quartet will play my first string quartet Via Crucis at the Helsinki Main Library Oodi. Free admission!
Pablo Devisme will play five movements from my solo accordion suite Shapes in his accordion recital at the Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) . He will be performing the movements I. “The Rhomb”, II. “The Ascending Line” , VI. “The Pentagon Chaconne”, V. “Dots” and VI. “The Icosahedron”. Free admission.
My solo cello work Aveo will be performed by Johannes Välja at his Master’s Recital of New Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München (University of Music and Performing Arts Munich). Free admission! Find more info here.
My orchestral piece ICE will be performed as part of the tour of the Helsinki University Symphony Orchestra (Ylioppilaskunnan Soittajat, YS) conducted Aku Sorensen at Ekenäs Church in Southern Finland.

The song Vi bestämmer varje dag hurdan världen ska va from my first children opera Dumma Kungen, composed to a libretto by Monica Vikström-Jokela, will be performed by the pupils and teachers from my former music school Musikinstitutet Kungsvägen at their 50th Jubilee concert at Tapiola Hall in Espoo, Finland.
The Polytech Choir conducted by Tatu Erkkilä is going to perform my piece At Teasdale’s at their spring concert at Lauttasaari Church. More information can be found here.
