Earth Songs – Musica nova Helsinki

My new violin concerto Earth Songs will be performed by Linda Suolahti and TampereRaw, conducted by Maria Itkonen. The concert will take place in the House of Nobility as a part of the Musica nova Helsinki Festival. Framtidens skugga – Lappeenranta Singing Competition

Mezzo soprano Olivia Kyllönen and pianist Kirill Kozlovski will perform the song Framtidens skugga, which is the first song from my song cycle Framtidens skugga composed to poems by Edith Södergran, as part of Olivia Kyllönen’s semifinal round at The Lappeenranta National Singing Competition (Lappeenrannan valtakunnalliset laulukilpailut). Shapes – Hannover Recital

Accordionist Sonja Vertainen will perform from my whole solo accordion suite Shapes at her recital in Hannover. She will perform at the hall E50 in “Neues Haus 1” at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Hannover University of Music, Theatre and Media). She will also be performing works by César Franck, Erkki Jokinen, Matthew Shlomowitz and Tom Bañados. More info here.

Under Stjärnhimlen – Swiss Premiere

My solo accordion piece Renewables Op.83 will get its Lithuanian Premiere by Sini Ström at her recital at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in Vilna, Lithuania. The concert is part of the Akoreono Festivalis in Vilnius. The program also includes music by my colleagues Olli Virtaperko, Matthew Whittall, Sampo Haapamäki, Sauli Zinovjev and Joonas Kokkonen.
