Speaker – Music x Media

I will be one of the speakers at Music x Media in Tampere this Thursday the 29th of September. Alongside composers Ville Raasakka and Osmo Tapio Räihälä, musicologist Juha Torvinen and music journalist Eva Tigerstedt we will discuss “The role of a composer in society – is there one?” in a panel discussion, held in Finnish.

Nisus – Kumpulan kamarikonsertti

My string trio Nisus will be performed by the musicians of the fantastic Nome Quartetat  at the Kumpula chambermusic concert series, in the concert “The mind hears voices” (in Finnish “Mieli kuulee ääniä”). On the program also Haydn String Quartet Op.20/4 and R.Schumann’s String Quartet No.3. Free admission, concert program 15€.

Piano Delirium – Cirkus Cirkör

My piano solo piece Piano Delirium is part of the show Trådar by the contemporary Cirkus Cirkör as a part of Östersjöfestivalen taking place at the Berwaldhallen concert hall in Stockholm. The piece is performed by Johan Ullén in the show.

Wasteland – World Premiere with Norrlandsoperan

Nisus – Tampering Festival

A string trio from the Tampering Ensemble will perform my Nisus at the fifth Tampering Festival. This year’s Tampering festival focuses on works composed during the pandemic and on works by Ukrainian composers.

Lucrum – Joensuu City Orchestra

At the first concert of the season, Joensuu City Orchestra will give a taster of the different pieces that are coming up during the fall season 2022, conducted by the conducting class from the Sibelius Academy. The young and talented conductor and composer Elisar Riddelin will conduct my piece Lucrum. The concert is for free.

Sydänlaulu – Luosto Soi

Vickan & Väinö – Sibelius Festival Korpo

Cast: Hedvig Paulig soprano, Ville Salonen tenor, Rolf Broman baritone and Janne Valkeajoki accordion. Commissioned and produced by Opera BOX. Tickets 20 euros per child, parents for free.
