My new solo accordion piece Renewables Op.83 will be performed by Sami Majamäki at the Tampering Festival. This is the first performance where all movements will be performed subsequently.

My piece Characters, a solo piano suite of miniatures will be performed by the virtuoso Fanny Söderström at the eight’s edition of the Kokonainen Festival. Find more info about the festival here .

The World Premiere of my new trio Vibrations for recorder, violin and organ will take place on the 10th of August at the baroque music festival Vantaa BRQ in Finland. The piece will be performed by the commissioner, the fantastic Rosetta Ensemble.

My string orchestra piece Fretus, dedicated to the oceans of the world, will be performed by Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra lead by orchestral leader Malin Broman at the closing concert of Korsholm Music Festival taking place at Vaasa City Hall. More info can be found here.

Vickan & Väinö is a bilingual children’s opera that tells the story of the construction of Finland’s new capital, Helsinki, by the architect Engel and two mice who save Engel’s plans. It is an opera about Finland’s multicultural history and friendship without a common language. The third opera by hugely popular contemporary composer Cecilia Damström is based on the script by Marina Motaleff-Kelly. The opera is aimed at 4–10-year-olds. (In Finnish and Swedish.) Cast: Hedvig Paulig, soprano, Ville Salonen, tenor, Aku Rantama, baritone and Sonja Vertainen, accordion. Performances at 13.00 and 14.30 o’clock. Tickets: 10€ for adult. My string trio Nisus will be performed by Elina Vähälä, Razvan Popovici and Jan-Erik Gustavsson at Korsholm Music Festival. More info can be found here.

My second string quartet Letters will be performed by the Erinys Quartet and Lis Laviola at the festival Korsholm Music Festival at the Tikanoja Art Residence. The concert also includes Leoš Janáček’s second string quartet Intimate Letters, the work that has inspired me to compose Letters. Tickets to the concert can be found here.
