Vickan & Väinö is a bilingual (Swedish and Finnish) fairytale opera for children to the libretto and original story of Marina Motaleff. On stage Anna Sandström (Vickan), Ville Salonen (Väinö), Aku Rantama (Engel/Löw) and Sonja Vertainen (accordion). Commissioned and produced by Opera BOX and performed at the festival Kokkola Winter Accordion.
The contemporary music ensemble Norrbotten NEO will perform the Swedish premiere of my string trio Nisus at their concert New Europe. The concert will be radio broadcast over all of Europe. More info can be found here and the recording of the radio broadcast can be found here.
My new solo cello work Aveo op.82 composed for Jonathan Roozeman will get its world premiere at the Opening Gala “Mystery of Cello” at CelloFest 2023. Tickets can be found here.
Honoured to be invited to be one of the speakers, along side writer Anni Kytömäki and music technology researcher and professor Otso Lähdeoja, to talk at the panel discussion (in Finnish) themed “nature in new music”. My piano solo piece Epitaph will be released on the splendid Ville Hautakangas’ debut album 12 Premieres! Soon avaiable on streaming platforms! The concert is part of the Pirkanmaa Piano Festival.
