Tuomas Turriago will perform my piece Epitaph at his and Dimas Ruiz Santos recital in Tampere. The concert also includes pieces for oboe and piano, composed by Atso Almila and by Tuomas Turriago himself. The Facebook event can be found here.

Very excited about the Finnish Premiere of my new 20 min orchestra piece Wasteland co-commissioned and performed by Tampere Philharmonic conducted by Olari Elts. The concert also includes music by Kalevi Aho, a world premiere by Eetu Lehtonen and a Finnish premiere by Unsuk Chin in addition to yours truly. The concert is part of the contemporary music festival Tampere Biennale 2024. More information can be found here.

My song cycle Tidens ordning to lyrics by Oscar Rossi will be performed by Nicholas Söderlund and Pasi Helin at the Sibelius Museum in Turku. The concert is part of a big Södergran celebration at the Sibelius Museum beginning at 12pm lasting until 4 pm. The Facebook event can be found here and more information can also be found here.
My second string quartet Letters will be performed by the Berlin based Elaia Quartet in Edenkoben in Germany. The concert also includes Leoš Janáček’s second string quartet Intimate Letters, the work that has inspired me to compose Letters.

Very happy to be invited again by Ville Komppa to the series Tunne orkesterisi (“Know your orchestra”), a Thursday series of panel discussions (in Finnish) about music with the composers and musicians who are performed in the Helsinki Music Centre. On Thursday the 29th of February I will be joined by University of Arts, Sibelius Academy’s Music History Professor Markus Mantere and of course Ville Komppa. Free entry!
