Vancouver Chamber Choir led by Kari Turunen will give the Canadian premiere to Rädda mig , which is the second movement of the choral suite Min Gud from 2010.
About the concert: CECILIA commemorates the November Feast Day of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, with works by women including three contemporary Cecilias: Cecilia Livingston, Cecilia Damström and Cecilia McDowall. Also featured is Gaelic Hymns, a gem by Ina Boyle, an underrepresented Irish composer of the 20th century. Benjamin Britten’s Hymn to St. Cecilia rounds out the celebration.
