Celestial Beings – Unrecorded. Album Release
Linda Suolahti's debut album "Unrecorded." will be released 23rd of November 2023! It includes unrecorded music by Finnish composers Helvi Leiviskä, Ann-Elise Hannikainen and me. Groove – Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen
flutist Marianna Schürmann and accordionist Neža Torkar from the ensemble via nova will play my Groove at the concert Hebstfrequenzen 2023 at the Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen in Germany. Tickets 12€/8€. More info can be found here and the Facebook event can be found here.
Shapes – Czech Premiere
Three movements from the solo accordion suite Shapes will get their Czech Republic Premiere at the International Accordion days in Prague. The competitor Bela Brichzin (Germany) will perform the movements I. “The Rhomb”, III. “Circles and Ellipses” and V. “Dots” in age category VI.
Aveo – Kangasala
My solo cello work Aveo will be performed by Sirja Nironen at Kangasala Church on the Finnish Day of Music. Nironen and Kirill Kozlovski will play a variable repertoire together. Some information can be found on the arranger's Facebook here. The concert is for free, the program can be bought for 15€.
Nisus – Kino Soi!
My string trio Nisus will be performed by Matilda Kaul, Hanna Hohti and Petja Kainulainen at series Kino Soi! in the old cinema of Tapiola, Espoo. More info can be found here. EDIT: Due to a sudden case of illness, the concert has been postponed from December to the 29th of January 2024.
Vidkänning – Finnish Premiere
Vino Ensemble conducted by Viena Kangas will sing the Finnish premiere of my piece Vidkänning, composed to a text by Henrika Ringbom. The concert will take place at Vapaan Taiteen Tila, a former underground shelter located in Sörnäinen in Helsinki.
Groove – South Korean Debut
The South Korean Premiere of Groove will be performed by flutist Marianna Schürmann and accordionist Neža Torkar from the ensemble via nova. The concert will be part of the Lee Sanggeun International Music Festival, in Jinju, South Korea. More info can be found here.
