Program note

Der Wald for flute and electronics was composed in 2011 during my exchange year in Valencia. Like the same opus numbers nr 1 “Die Berge” from 2010 also number 2 is inspired by the theme “Man versus nature”. Together with electronics the flutist creates an own forrest of sounds. The piece is dedicated to my sister Jacintha Damström.

Technical instructions

It is possible to perform the piece with stereo or quadrophonic setting. For performing the piece a microphone, a computer with (runtime) Max MSP and loudspeakers are required. The patch is programmed in Max MSP 5 and can be run in that version or newer versions.
