Program note
The name Angor means pain, anguish and torment in Latin, and that is what the piece is about: tinnitus, arrhythmia, headaches, bacteria and pain in every form: lingering, underlying or stinging. This piece is dedicated to every person around the world suffering from incurable diseases and what you would call “rare diseases” or non-acknowledged diseases such as for instance chronicle Lyme.

Reviews
Cecilia Damström (f. 1988) caused a sensation with her hyper expressive a cappella work Angor, a composition of Psalm 22, where only the words “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me” were to be heard within a frame of partly sprechgesang and tone eruptions with Erik Bergman and György Ligeti as its main patrons. If Damström continues on this course, anything is possible.
